Automation Project for Thermal Power Plants
Release date:
2023-06-21
There are two forms of control methods: one is supervisory control, achieved by having the computer output signals through peripheral devices to adjust the setpoints of conventional analog controllers; the other is direct digital control, where the computer directly controls the production process via peripheral devices.
The automation project for the thermal power plant includes:
1. Safety inspections of in-plant machinery, furnaces, and electrical equipment, including data collection, status monitoring, screen display, over-limit alarms, and fault detection.
2. Real-time computer control enables the entire automatic start-up process—from ignition to grid connection.
3. Economic allocation and automatic adjustment of active power load.
4. Automatic adjustment of bus voltage and reactive power—either increasing or decreasing as needed.
5. Stable Monitoring and Control. The control methods employed take two forms: one involves computer outputs adjusting the setpoints of conventional analog controllers via peripheral devices, thereby enabling supervisory control; the other uses computer outputs to directly control the production process through peripheral devices, achieving direct digital control.
